Perspectives for 2008 & January 2008

2008 – The Call for Mastery
The Beginning of the End Times:
This year, we will experience the beginning of a series of
profound shifts in consciousness that will determine the reshaping
of this world as we now know it. These shifts will be stimulated
and catalyzed by several dynamic tension-producing celestial
alignments, which will affect each of us as individuals and the
Collective Consciousness of Humanity.
The first major shift will be stimulated by the planet Pluto
entering into the sign of Capricorn on January 25th, initiating a
17-year cycle of profound changes. Pluto in Capricorn represents
the beginning of the end times. Before we can have world peace, we
must break down or transform those structures that perpetuate
fear. Pluto represents Shiva energy. According to Hindu spiritual
teachings, Shiva is the aspect of God that causes transmutation in
the Universe. It destroys and / or transmutes anything that is
blocking or resisting our true relationship with Source. Pluto in
Capricorn brings universal energies that will transmute or destroy
those structures that are out of harmony with Divine Love. This
year marks the beginning of this major process that will
eventually bring the destruction, transmutation and purification
of all that is unlike Divine Love, so that Love can infiltrate all
of creation and bring forth a rebirth of consciousness at a higher
vibration. This will include major earth changes.
This year will bring a purging of the core of Humanity’s
Collective Shadow (the combined repressed fears of all human
beings that are held in the Collective Unconscious), which is the
root of our misguided creative process. While we are in this
process, is important to remember three things:
1) We live in a world of duality.
2) We often first experience what we don’t want in order to
realize and create what we do want.
3) Within chaos and change are the seeds of possibility, new
emergence and growth.
Capricorn is the sign that deals with structures, profession,
career, status, ambition, authority, and power structures. While
transiting the sign of Capricorn, thru November 2024, Pluto will
act as the “Hand of God” to transmute and purify the structures of
the world. During the years that Pluto last transited Capricorn,
from 1762 – 1777, new concepts of government were born, including
the American Declaration of Independence, in 1776. During
the coming 17-year period, the birth of a world government, based
on the best interests of Humanity may begin. But first, those
qualities of governments that are not in the best interests of
Humanity, and are out of harmony with Divine Love, must be
transmuted and purged.
Expect the Unexpected!
In the last week of July through August, there is a dynamic
tension-producing alignment (a T-Square aspect) involving Mars,
Uranus and Pluto. This cycle indicates a period of profound
purging and transformations in the Collective Consciousness of
Humanity. It is a prelude to yet another long-term cycle,
involving Uranus in a challenging alignment (Square aspect) with
Pluto. That cycle will begin in June 2009, continue through March
2018, and is sure to bring more of the same.
Then, from September 22nd thru the end of this year (and
continuing thru September 2010), Saturn is in a tension-producing
alignment (Opposition aspect) with Uranus. This indicates
unexpected, unusual, radical upsets, changes, conflicts and chaos
in our relationships and in the structures of our world. This
cycle will challenge us to stand in our Truth. It is time to
release or change the characteristics of your relationships that
are limiting the true expression of your individuality and that
are out of harmony with your higher good. If you are not willing
or able to do this, the Universe will provide radical and
upsetting circumstances that will change or end these
relationships. It is best to let go and not resist these changes,
because they are necessary for your personal evolution.
Both of these cycles represent dynamic tension in our
relationships, regarding the ways that we express individuality,
control, power, passion and sexuality. These are war aspects. War
is often created when unresolved and / or repressed anger is
projected onto another person, group, society or country – who are
perceived as the enemy.
Six Suggestions for Survival:
1) Remember that whatever you perceive is happening in the outer
world is a reflection of what is going on in your inner world
(within your own consciousness). From a larger, metaphysical
viewpoint, there are no enemies.
2) Be willing to hear and allow the expression of another person’s
point of view – as long as the other person doesn’t harm someone
or personal property – even if you don’t agree with it. It is also
important to ask yourself what buttons are being pushed and what
emotions are being brought to the surface for you to acknowledge
and heal.
3) All relationships are true mirrors that reflect who you are. If
you don’t like what you see in the mirror, don’t break it, change
it! After all, it is up to you to be the change that you wish to
see. You must eventually recognize the truth of your own, personal
being.
4) Be thankful for what you are being shown. Develop and express
an attitude of gratitude. Expressing gratitude develops love,
creates the possibility for healing, and supports your emotional
and spiritual evolution. There is always so much to be grateful
for.
5) Use the reflection(s) that you see to question your creation(s).
Ask yourself if your way of being is in integrity with your higher
good.
6) Do the inner work that is necessary to heal your emotions and
evolve spiritually. In other words, honor yourself, your soul’s
journey and the Divine Truth that is being shown to you.
The Good News:
We will be blessed this year when the planet Jupiter is in a
favorable (Trine aspect) alignment with the planet Saturn, from
January 1st thru February 11th, and again from August 5th thru
December 26th. This dynamic, positive cycle supports the success
of new creations, the beginning of new businesses, new career
directions, the expansion of established careers, businesses and
structures, travel and business and with foreign cultures. The
cycle will support the establishment of new helpful laws and
improving political structures. This cycle also supports spiritual
progress through conscious, committed and disciplined focus on
spiritual truth and universal laws.
The Miracle Aspect:
Saturn is in a favorable alignment (Trine aspect) with Pluto from
January 18th thru July 10th. This cycle is the Miracle Aspect for
2008. It represents an infusion of Source Energy into physical
matter, and makes available positive universal power to manifest
what you want to create in your life. This cycle will also bring
forward spiritual masters who will act as messengers of good will
and enlightened wisdom. These masters will provide divine guidance
and higher truth for all who are receptive.
It is time to develop personal mastery at the highest level. When
you are tested by your experiences of life, take the time to view
these tests from the highest perspective and make choices from
there. You can choose to be caught in the drama of limitation,
tension and bizarre challenges of this world; or you can choose to
ride the waves of dynamic changes, while keeping in touch with the
Truth of who you are – You are a Divine Being who is having
profound human experiences.
The dynamic energies of this year will challenge us to adapt to
new circumstances and to create new ways of being and surviving.
In order for Humanity to evolve in consciousness, we must be
challenged and tested, to determine if we are heading in the right
direction for our higher good. If not, then it’s time to adjust
our course. Each of us must ask ourselves if what we are doing is
serving our soul’s evolution. We each have a wonderful instrument
within us that connects us with our soul and guides us. This
instrument is the heart of our being. It continuously sends us
signals and feedback through our feelings. It is important that we
take some time, each day, to tune into these feelings, which are
intuitive communications from the soul. It is good to practice
prayer and meditation daily.
Each soul is connected purely and harmoniously to the Collective
Soul (aka the Collective Unconscious), where we are all one. When
we trust our intuition, and make choices from the awareness of our
soul, we will naturally move in the right direction for our higher
good and the good of all. Self mastery is mastery of the ego. When
we recognize the ego as the physical manifestations of our soul
into this world, and remember that we are essentially divine
beings having human experiences, we can use our experiences on
Earth this year (and every year) for fine tuning our soul’s
journey and supporting the evolution of our consciousness.

The Celestial Energies in January:
The first nineteen days of January bring the practical, functional
and serious energies of Capricorn. This is a good time to organize
and structure your personal life in integrity with your higher
principles. Take inventory of your creations and then weed out
those things that are out of integrity with your goals and
purposes. Make a plan for the coming twelve months – set goals and
make commitments to these goals.
Jupiter is in a favorable alignment (Trine) with Saturn from
January 1st thru February 11th. This is a good time for bringing
optimism, expansion and functionality together. This is an
excellent time to expand and improve the existing structures in
your life, and / or to begin new structures that you wish to bear
fruit. This is also a good time for making financial commitments.
Trade agreements, treaties, importing / exporting and foreign
cultures can bring benefits to corporations, businesses and other
organizations. However, because Mercury goes into a retrograde
cycle on January 28th, it is best to begin enterprises and sign
documents before that date.
The Full Moon occurs on January 22nd at 5:35 am Pacific /
6:35 am Mountain Time, at 2 degrees Leo. About four days before
and four days after this date is the peak period of emotional
energies for the month, when everything tends to be more intense.
Conflicts in our relationships with others (especially the
opposite sex) are more likely now as the Moon opposes the Sun, and
Venus opposes Mars. These opposition aspects are a call from the
Universe for us to find balance through honoring differences of
perspective, so it behooves you to be willing to consider the
points of view of others. There are three positive, favorable
celestial alignments – (Trine Aspects) between 1) Jupiter and
Saturn, 2) Mars and Neptune and 3) Mercury and Mars – that combine
to make this an auspicious time to take positive action to speak
your mind, be true to your ideals, and make your dreams come true.
Mars is in retrograde (in the sign of Gemini) for the first
30 days of January 2008. This represents a time for each of us to
reconsider how we think, communicate, use power, passion and
sexuality. Watch your mind think, and the ways that you
communicate with others. You may discover certain thought patterns
and ways of communicating that are dis-empowering you. This is a
time when unresolved, hidden and repressed emotions, passions,
anger and sexuality may be revived. There will be strong feelings
against the war in Iraq, and increased tension between the people
of America and the Bush administration. Mortgages in America are
likely to be problematic. This is a time for dealing with
conscious and unconscious (repressed) anger issues. There could be
a major turnaround of events when Mars (the war planet) goes
direct on January 30th - at the same time that this planet aligns
with the natal Mars of the USA’s chart.
Mars (the dynamic expressive planet) forms a very favorable
alignment (Trine) with Neptune (the visionary, spiritual planet)
from January 11th thru February 27th. This Mars / Neptune cycle,
combined with the Jupiter / Saturn cycle, is an auspicious time to
take committed action to make your dreams come true.
The New Moon happens on January 8th, at 3:37 am Pacific /
4:37 am Mountain Time, when the Sun Conjuncts the Moon, at 18
degrees Capricorn. This begins a 29 ½ day cycle of inspiration.
This is a favorable time to benefit from self-help group
activities. Fortunately, a positive Jupiter / Saturn alignment
(Trine Aspect) supports the beginning and / or expansion of
structures and business projects. This is also a time for gaining
insights into and healing emotional wounds. However, relationships
and partnerships may experience some discord, instability and
breakups. Conflicts and unusual, unexpected problems may show up.
These problems may be related to radical differences in emotional
needs, individuality, principles and conflicts in ways of
structuring reality. There may be broken commitments. It is
important to be willing to consider other’s points of view.
On January 20th, the Sun enters the mental, humanitarian,
independent, inventive energies of Aquarius. This is a wonderful
time to take an objective overview of your life, and to ask
yourself what you can do to help mankind. It is significant time
to take action on your inspirations.
Mercury enters its first Retrograde cycle of 2008, from
January 28th thru February 18th. Mercury, the planet that rules
intellectualization, communication, travel and all instruments of
informational processes, communications and travel, is moving
backwards through the zodiac. A Mercury Retrograde cycle is a time
when the Universe is urging us to rethink our lives. A MR cycle
supports contemplation, introspection, meditation and
spirituality. It’s a time when the energies of the logical mind
(the Left Brain) seem to shut down, in order to allow the feeling,
creative, intuitive mind (the Right Brain) to develop.
During a Mercury Retrograde cycle, our logical, rational, mental
processes and communications seem to break down somewhat. This
also applies to the mechanical devices that support our
communications and travel, such as computers (be sure to back up
your computer in advance), telephones, automobiles and so on. A
Mercury Retrograde cycle is not a good time to start
anything new, especially if it is important to you personally. It
is a good time to continue things that you’ve already started and
to contemplate new possibilities, but it is best to wait until the
cycle is complete before you start anything new. This is because
you might be missing or misunderstanding important information.
FORECASTS FOR EACH SIGN IN
2008 & JANUARY
The following is a description of the cosmic
energies that will affect you during this year, and specifically

TAURUS: Workshops, seminars and higher education are likely to
significantly impact your life in 2008. A deepening of your
spiritual focus will bring spiritual illumination and profound
changes in your spiritual path this year. Travel and foreign
cultures, possibly including a journey to a sacred place in a
foreign country could be positive, life-changing experience. Some
obstacles involving children may require your focused attention –
be sure to consider alternative, unconventional approaches,

seminar may empower and expand your life. After the 19th, your
career and public reputation need your attention – take advantage
