Perspectives for June 2008

The month of June brings the
intellectual, communicative, restless energies of the sign of
Gemini. This energy supports social gatherings, intellectual
pursuits and travel during the first 19-½ days of this month.
However, Mercury will be in retrograde motion from June 1st
through June 19th, which will influence our mental processes and
communications. Mercury Retrograde is a cycle that occurs three
times a year and continues for approximately three weeks. This
cycle represents a directive from the Universe that says “It’s
time to rethink your life”. This is a favorable time for
contemplation, reflection, introspection, meditation and
spiritual practice. During this period, the intellectual process
may not seem to function as well as it normally does, because
the Left Brain (logical, reasoning, cognitive side of the mind)
is shutting down some of its abilities to allow the Right Brain
(feeling, imaginative, intuitive) to develop. This a perfect
time to develop your spiritual side by attending retreats,
spiritual events, sabbaticals and going on that much needed
vacation.
Since our overt mental functions are not up to par during a
Mercury Retrograde cycle, it is not a good time to sign
important documents or to start new projects. The exception to
this rule is in matters of your personal expertise. For example,
if you are a hair stylist, you may cut and style new clients’
hairs. This is because you have developed an intuitive ability
with that which you do repetitively and much of the time.
The New Moon (at 14 degrees Gemini) happens on June 3rd at 12:23
pm Pacific / 1:23 pm Mountain time. The New Moon represents the
beginning of a lunar month cycle of energies that will play out
during the next 29 ½ days.
The Summer Solstice, on June 20th at 4:59 pm Pacific Daylight
Time / 5:59 pm Mountain Time, is one of the most powerful days
of the year. On the morning of this day, our Sun will enter the
celestial position known as "The Gate of Man" where the Earth
moves into direct alignment with the “Gate of God”. At this
momentous time, our planet will experience a blessing of light
from the core of the Universe, shining directly upon us and
attuning us to the higher frequencies of light consciousness and
Divine Oneness. This moment in time presents a key to unlock the
bondage of duality consciousness that has shackled us to war and
acts of aggression here on Earth. If enough people link together
at this moment of Divine enlightenment through meditation and a
place of inner peace, we can begin the much needed shift of
energy to that of Divine Oneness. An alignment between the Sun
and Venus in a positive aspect with Neptune (Sun Conjunct Venus,
Trine Neptune) brings an expansion of spiritual awareness,
Divine compassion and Divine Feminine energies.
A stressful alignment (Sun Conjunct Venus, Opposition Pluto,
T-Square Uranus) represents an upsetting set of dynamic
tension-producing energies that will stimulate and catalyze
profound changes in consciousness and breakup and transmute
lower, dense energies. This will most likely provoke conflicts,
challenges and emotional upsets in relationships, finances and
the Collective Consciousness of Humanity. Although these are
tension producing alignments, the planets Uranus and Pluto
always act to support and/or catalyze the evolution of
Humanity's consciousness.
The Sun is at 29 degrees Gemini and Pluto is at 29 degrees
Sagittarius. The 29th degree is the mastery level of expression
of the signs involved. Gemini is one of the signs of dualism and
multiplicity. The other duplicity sign is Pisces. Since Uranus
is in the sign of Pisces, it is revealing higher Truth about the
mystical meanings of our Universe and showing us how we can find
balance in the world of opposites. Uranus inspires resolution
through surrendering to the illumined mind, or Christ Mind.
Through the Christ Mind, one can be in the world but not of the
world.
It is through directing your mind to serve All That Is that you
will master the expression of Gemini. This will support the end
of dualistic thinking and being in this world.
By expanding optimism and philosophical wisdom, you will master
the expression of the sign of Sagittarius. The ego mind is
liberated when it experiences the omniscient wisdom of the ONE.
The Sun is in a dynamic aspect to all three of the spiritual
planets (Sun Square Uranus, Sun Trine Neptune and Sun Opposition
Pluto creating a “T-Square” configuration). This alignment gives
energetic support for these spiritual energies to express with
great impact in our world.
The Sun enters the Sign of Cancer on the Solstice, bringing
forth the emotionally sensitive, moody energies of Cancer. The
remainder of June is a time for family, home and emotional
activities. Create time to connect with your heart family.
The Full Moon (28 degrees Sagittarius) occurs on June 18th at
10:30 am Pacific / 11:30 am Mountain time, and brings emotional
intensity and possible conflicts and upsets in relationships
with others. This is a time for looking deeper into your inner
being. If you have any unresolved, repressed emotions, they will
most likely be in your face! Remember to take responsibility for
what you are feeling. Your emotions are an indicator of where
you are vibrationally. They are your guidance system and gift.
You can make great emotional progress, and possible healing of
negative emotions if you are willing to feel theses emotions,
express them, and then surrender them to Source. Process your
