Astrological Perspectives for November 2011

We are in a time of unprecedented transformations, upheavals and spiritual awakenings! All of the earth changes, radical weather patterns, unstable economics, revolutions, political upsets and religious changes are outer manifestations of Humanity’s accelerating spiritual evolution. There are challenging planetary alignments, Solar flares and the newly discovered Comet Elenin that reflect the larger meanings of this amazing transformational process.
Solar flares are electromagnetic bursts from our Sun that are affecting the electromagnetic fields of planet Earth and humans. There have been an increased number of solar flares in the past few years. They can cause havoc with technology - such as computers and communication systems. These can also affect our central nervous systems, catalyzing a re-orientation and reconfiguration of consciousness.
The Comet Elenin was discovered on December 10th, 2010 (at approximately 3:20 am MST) through an observatory in Mayhill, New Mexico, by Leonid Elenin, a Russian astronomer). This comet is in a 12,000-year elliptical orbit around our Sun. It returned to its closest proximity (perigee) to the Sun on September 10th and was closest to the Earth on October 16th of this year.
The discovery of a significant celestial body is a reflection of certain aspects of our Collective Consciousness that is being awakened. At the moment of its discovery, Comet Elenin was at 29:56 degrees in the sign of Virgo, and was engaged in a T-Square configuration with Uranus, Jupiter, Mars, Mercury, Pluto, North Node and Sun. This is a reflection of a universal call for mastery through unselfish service, motivated by a Higher Love. If we are to spiritually evolve, we must recognize and express our individual gifts of service. When we follow our inspirations to express our unique talents and abilities in service, we also support our own personal evolution and recognition of our enlightenment.
This comet has shown up to stimulate and intensify the impacts of our thoughts and feelings on our creation of reality, thereby accelerating the evolutionary process of the Collective Consciousness. The collective thoughts and emotions of Humanity are creating everything that we are experiencing in the world. It is vital that we live consciously and become attentive to what we are thinking and doing on a regular basis.
At the time of the comet's discovery, the planet Venus was in the sign of Scorpio and rising in the east, in the First House. This signifies a time to recognize the values of our relationships with each other, to heal our fears about relationships, and to ultimately recognize and develop the Divine feminine energies within us. This naturally includes expressions of compassion, charity and unconditional love. So, why not begin by seeing and acknowledging the good, the love and the divine in those with whom we are in relationship with? You can do this simply by expressing appreciation for these significant people. Remember, what you appreciate, appreciates.
The Solar flares, along with the Comet Elenin, are intensifying the dynamic tension-producing square aspect that is currently in place between the planets Uranus and Pluto from May 2010 thru March 2018. These two planets are the major indicators of change and are acting to support the evolution of the Collective Consciousness. This involves radical shifts in our perceptions, beliefs and relationships with our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies.
Although it appears and feels like the world is in a state of confusion and chaos, this is actually a part of the evolutionary process. We are being urged to face our fears and heal our personal and collective shadows. It is more important, now, than ever before, that we let go of any resistance that is keeping us from the flow of Source energy and come to a place of neutrality and “Surrender.” Yes, that pesky “S” word!
A friend recently suggested that when we are experiencing contrast in our life that we ask the following question: “Why is this happening FOR me?” rather than “Why is this happening TO me?” Great question!
The first twenty-one days of November bring the mystical, secretive, emotionally intense, and transformative energies of the Sun in the sign of Scorpio. These energies support our developing deep, sensitive personal awareness - especially in our emotional and spiritual natures. This is a fine time to delve into the hidden aspects of the human psyche through the use of psychological tools, such as Reichian Therapy and Jungian Analysis.
A vortex of Divine Wisdom will be open from November 1st thru the 7th, while the planet Mercury Trines Uranus; and from November 15th thru the 30th, when the Sun Trines Uranus. These two positive alignments bring inspirations, insights and inventions for the betterment of all. Scientific breakthroughs that will assist the healing and wellbeing of Humanity and the Earth are likely during these two periods. Alternative healing modalities will receive greater recognition and acceptance as they expand more into the public awareness.
On a personal level, it is more important than ever before to listen to your inner voice, your intuition. Take time to practice an effective form of daily meditation and get centered in your heart space. By doing this, you lower any resistance to your intuition and open your mind to inspirations and insights that will come into your experience.

Allow yourself more time to socialize and share your passion with others. Every individual has unique talents and abilities that can benefit the good of their community. There is much that you can gain through participating in community gatherings and activities during these periods.
From November 7th thru December 7th there will be two very positive celestial configurations - Grand Trines - that represent cosmic support for creating abundance, prosperity, expansion and greater spiritual awareness for the Collective Consciousness of Humanity. In general, this is a wonderful time for new beginnings, new directions and new approaches to resolving the problems of the world. You will see positive actions being taken towards the wellbeing and healing of people, animals and nature.
On a personal level, this is an auspicious time to give birth to something that you wish to see bear fruit. These energies help expand your successes, especially in the areas of your life that are represented by the Earth Signs – i.e. where the Planets and Houses of your Natal Chart are ruled by the signs Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. You can empower yourself by expanding these areas of your life to greater, more profound positive expressions. It is good to quiet yourself, and follow your inner guidance as to how to accomplish your greatest potential.

The Full Moon occurs on November 10th (12:16 pm Pacific Standard Time), at 18 degrees in the sign of Taurus. This is the most intense energetic time of the month. A Grand Trine configuration is formed by transiting Mars, Jupiter and Pluto (all in Earth signs), signifying a powerful time to take action of any kind. This alignment supports the creation of success, abundance and prosperity. This Full Moon intensifies the 32-day Grand Trine that is active from November 7th thru December 7th. (See the two paragraphs just above this one.)
Also, tempers may flare, as misunderstandings, confusions and deceptions are perceived. Disillusionments and feelings of betrayal may occur as a result of actions taken by others – who may simply have different ideals and spiritual beliefs than you. These could involve conflicts in relationships, sexuality, financial matters and power struggles in general. These energies could stimulate righteous indignation. So, be aware of how you are feeling and expressing yourself in every moment.
Be in integrity with yourself and how you are showing up in all of your relationships. Come to a place of compassion and forgiveness in your relations with others. Be willing to see the other person’s point-of-view, even if you don’t agree with it. The understanding you will gain through these actions will ultimately empower you and support you in creating freedom and inner peace.
On November 22nd (2:15 am Pacific / 3:15 am Mountain Standard Time), the Sun will move into the sign of Sagittarius, bringing into expression the restless, aspiring and philosophical energies of this sign for 29½ days. You may find that you are drawn to attend or facilitate workshops or seminars that could involve philosophy, foreign cultural connections, travel and adventures. Expansive and optimistic perspectives may inspire you to consider bigger and broader possibilities for your life. At the same time, be aware of a tendency to over-extend. Sagittarius energy is well known for this tendency.
Get together with friends and group associations and share your deepest desires and passions. It is through the sharing of ideas, talents, hopes and feelings that we will strengthen our communities. This will also enhance our ability to support one another during the coming changes. It is through unified action that we increase our oneness, and through acknowledging our Oneness that we increase love.
Mercury is Retrograde, in the sign of Sagittarius, from November 23rd thru December 13th. Mercury, the planet that rules intellectualization, communication, travel and all instruments of informational processes, communications and travel, is moving backwards through the zodiac. A Mercury Retrograde cycle is a time when the Universe is urging all of us to contemplate and rethink our lives. This cycle supports contemplation, introspection, meditation and spirituality. Sagittarius Mercury energy supports us to expand our consciousness to greater heights of spiritual wisdom and to let go of any beliefs that no longer serve our higher good. This is a special time to go within and contemplate the expanded and higher meanings of your life.
During a Mercury Retrograde cycle, our logical, rational, mental processes and communications seem to shut down somewhat, in order to allow the feeling, creative, intuitive mind (the Right Brain) to develop. This also applies to the mechanical devices that support our communications and travel, such as computers, telephones, automobiles and so on.
A Mercury Retrograde cycle is not the best time to start anything new, especially if it is important to you personally. It is a good time to continue with and master things that you’ve already started, and to contemplate new possibilities, but it is best to wait until the cycle is complete before you start anything new. This is because you might be overlooking or misunderstanding important information.
A Solar Eclipse occurs at the New Moon on November 24th (10:10 pm Pacific Standard Time), at 3 degrees in the sign of Sagittarius. This represents the birth of a new paradigm of energies that will become apparent over the next six months. This New Moon is the sixth, and the final SuperMoon (when the Moon is closest to the Earth in its monthly orbit, at the same time as a New Moon or Full Moon) of this year. As a Collective Consciousness, we are ready to step up to the next level of learning and self-mastery. At the time of the Eclipse, there is a T-Square configuration (involving the Sun, Moon, Mars, Chiron and Neptune), which supports the development of compassionate expressions of power and leadership that serve idealistic and humanitarian causes.
This eclipse also indicates an uncovering of hidden agendas in religious organizations, politics, corporations, wars and international relations. Previously secret missions and emotional suffering may be revealed. Those responsible for unkind acts will be made accountable.
On a personal level, it is a time for self-mastery in our use of power, passion and sexuality. Emotionally charged conflicts and confusions with family and others may require honest self-reflection. It is important to identify any hidden agendas in our relationships, and develop compassion. Ask yourself, “Am I being honest and clear about my intensions? Am I trying to bend someone to my will? Am I treating others as I would like to be treated?
Conclusion
Although the world appears to be crazy and unstable, we are actually in a breakthrough period for human consciousness. We are being shown where our resistance to Sacred Love and misalignment with Source are. The structures that have been created, as a result of the resistance and misalignment, are breaking down. These structures are manifestations of the illusion of separation.
The Solar Eclipse is a universal call for us to realize Sacred Love. The Truth is: WE ARE ALL ONE, and our relationships are interactions of the multiple aspects of the Oneness that we are. Sacred Love is a way of being that acknowledges and supports our Oneness. When we surrender our attachments and control of people, places and things, and accept that we are all One, our journey becomes more peaceful and joyful.
