Astrological Perspectives for December 2011

We are in major celestial cycles of change, consciousness stimulation and accelerating evolution. Although change is not always easy, it is simple, when we surrender and let go of the reins of control. When we attempt to control the uncontrollable, it inevitably causes us frustration and pain.  The only thing that we can control is how we feel in every moment and where we choose to place our focus of attention. When we let go of resistance, and go with the flow, our life gets easier.

The planets Uranus and Pluto are in a Square Aspect from June 2009 thru March 2018.  This cycle indicates a period of reveal-ation, when the beliefs and structures of our life that are not serving our highest good are now are in our faces. It is imperative that we take an honest look at our lives and ask ourselves, “Where am I not being 100% truthful with myself? What negative habits, addictions or beliefs do I hold that are keeping me from expressing my unique potential?”  A belief is a persistent thought that you keep repeating again and again, until it becomes your reality. You can change any belief you hold.  A wonderful quote, by Wayne Dyer, explains this simply:  “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at will change.” This is the way of mastery.

Look at any attachments that have become a crutch for you, and release them to Source. Let go of any belief that says you can only succeed, if you have a certain object, circumstance or person in your life. (e.g. Dumbo, the flying elephant, who believed he could fly, only if he held his feather. In the end, he developed faith that he could fly without his feather, by overcoming his fears and old patterns of beliefs). When you are able to develop faith in your abilities, you, too, can be free and joyful. Remember that you are Source energy, and when you came into this physical body, you did not leave that energy behind – you brought it with you. This means that you are the creator of your reality.  The choice is yours, whether you create consciously or by default.

If you are feeling inspired to make a major change or embark on a more meaningful path, you are not alone. There is a very positive Grand Trine Aspect between Jupiter (in the sign of Taurus) and Pluto (in the sign of Capricorn) from June 2011 thru April 10^th, 2012. This is a profound cycle that brings spiritual power and support to each of us. Jupiter represents the Universe’s support for creating abundance, prosperity, expansion and success in our lives. Jupiter is transiting the sign of Taurus.  Pluto represents our connection with Source Energy. It is transiting the Sign of Capricorn. While these two planets are in this Trine Aspect, they are working favorably together to support successful creations.

Here are Five Keys to affectively access the powerful, helpful energies of the Jupiter/Pluto Trine:

1) At the beginning of each and every day, center yourself through some form of meditation.

2) Set your intention of positive creation.

3) Take an action that represents the beginning of this creation, by April 10^th, 2012.

4) Be the instrument of Source (rather than the “doer”) and allow Divine Inspiration to flow through you and guide you. 

5) Look to the Houses of your Natal Chart that are affected by Taurus andCapricorn, and use these areas of your life as platforms for anchoring and expressing your creations.

 

The first twenty-one days of December bring forth the philosophical, optimistic, restless, expansive, aspiring and freedom-loving energies of the Sun in Sagittarius. Optimism tends to be more prevalent, and can guide you onto greater possibilities. Use this energy for considering the more expanded meanings of life, and for developing and sharing philosophical points-of-view. Don’t be surprised if you feel an urge to travel, or visitors from distant places show up on your doorstep. People love to travel when the Sun is in the sign of Sagittarius.  Keep an eye on your pocketbook, because there’s a greater chance of over-extending during this expansive energy!

The planet Mercury is in Retrograde, in the sign of Sagittarius, thru December 13^th. This energy supports introspection, meditation and re-thinking everything in our lives. Sagittarius invites us to explore the larger meanings of our existence. It is best to wait until after this cycle to begin new projects, with expanded wisdom. It’s also better to sign important documents after this cycle is complete.

A Total Eclipse of the Moon occurs at the Full Moon on December 10^th (6:36 am Pacific Standard Time), at 18 degrees in the sign of Gemini. Gemini energies support mental development and communications. This eclipse signifies a significant shift in the emotional and evolutionary patterns of the Collective Consciousness. The Planet Uranus (which stimulates and guides the evolution of the Collective Consciousness) completes a five-month retrograde cycle just seven hours before this eclipse begins. This indicates the beginning of a new wave of inspired social and spiritual movements for freedom and Truth.  The energies of this Full Moon Eclipse are stimulating us to act on our inspirations, step out of social conformity and express ourselves uniquely and passionately.   

This eclipse will be visible in North America (except the eastern part), the northern half of Mexico, Hawaii, Micronesia, Melanesia, Polynesia, Australia, New Zealand, New Guinea, Asia, eastern Africa, Iceland and most of Europe.

An eclipse of the Moon brings an awareness of the shadow side of our unconscious, and is a powerful time for healing our deep psyches.  Take this opportunity to process and clear any unresolved fears that may come up for you. For a few days before, after, and including this day, we may see some contrasts in points-of-view.  These can include volatile arguments and conflicts over political, legal, business, and religious differences. Watch for a tendency for righteous indignation.  Be sure to consider all perspectives, and work out all differences with integrity and consideration for the practical and functional aspects of your life. The tendency of many people is to project their unresolved emotions onto others and to blame others for their pain.  This will not help the soul to evolve. Only when we take responsibility for our own creations, can we heal ourselves and evolve spiritually.

From December 14^th thru 30^th, the Transiting Sun will simultaneously be in a favorable Trine Aspect with the Planet Jupiter and a challenging Square Aspect with the Planet Uranus.  These energies reach their peak impacts on December 22^nd. Revolution is in the air; people will be driven to speak out against injustice, unfairness and religious and political dogma. There will be radical upsets in political arenas, breakups of relationships and breakdowns of activities that are not serving the higher good of Humanity and the world.  These combined energies are encouraging us to let go of anything that is not in harmony with our higher Truth.  Philosophical and political leaders will come forth with higher spiritual wisdom and liberating perspectives. On a personal level, be open to realizing new possibilities to replace any limited ways of thinking and being in your life.

The Winter Solstice occurs on Wednesday, December 21^st (9:30 pm Pacific Standard Time), when the Sun enters the practical, prudent, patient sign of Capricorn. This is one of the most powerful days of the year for prayer, meditation, spiritual rituals and stating your intentions.

Solstice literally means, “Sun Stops.” It is an annual solar event, when the Sun stops moving southward, before it begins to move northward. On this date, nighttime is longest for those of us who live north of the equator. This day brings a shift of energy for the world. Some tribes, of the northern hemisphere, begin Sun rituals on that night and continue for the following three days, with hopes that the Sun will increase its daylight hours. Then, on December 25^th, when the daylight time is noticeably increasing, they celebrate the increase of Sun Energy, which they consider is the Christ energy. This energy symbolizes a Divine influence in the world. It is a wonderful time of year for all of us to celebrate Christ (Divine) energy in our lives. 

The Sun and Moon are in a challenging Square Aspect with the planet Mars, at the same time that the planet Venus is in a favorable Trine Aspect with Mars. These celestial alignments may bring awareness of some power conflicts and unresolved emotional frustrations. Venus in Capricorn supports resolutions of relationship issues through practical, functional approaches. Planets Uranus and Mercury are in a favorable Trine Aspect, bringing Divine awareness and inspired solutions for those with eyes to see and ears to hear. Remember to focus on the solutions, with your heart and mind, so you can see them.

Neptune is aligned (Conjunct) with Chiron and also in a helpful, Trine Aspect, with Saturn, at the time of this Solstice. These celestial alignments support idealistic, compassionate, intuitive and practical solutions to the problems of our world. This is the perfect time to make commitments to our spiritual practices and to integrate practical spiritual wisdom into our everyday lives. As the purging and transformations of structures are happening in the world, a commitment to idealistic, compassionate solutions will support the healing of the emotional wounds of many people. If you take advantage of the positive energies of this time, by opening your heart and coming to a place of forgiveness and compassion, you can heal your relationships and expand into a greater state of love.

The New Moon occurs on December 24^th  (10:06 am Pacific Standard Time), at 3 degrees in the sign of Capricorn. The Moon in the sign of Capricorn supports us in matters and getting emotionally grounded. 

Pluto is aligned in a Stellium (a major Conjunction) with the Sun and the New Moon, signifying a potential for deep emotional and spiritual insights and intrinsic transformation of our beings. It’s an auspicious time to take responsibility for our soul’s progress.  Jupiter is lined up (Trine Aspect) with the Sun, Moon and Pluto to promote optimism and expansion. This is a powerful time to integrate spiritual wisdom with our practical lives, make important commitments and build a base for long-term progress for our higher good.   

A positive Trine Aspect between Saturn, Neptune and Chiron, supports mutual long-term benefits for organizations, businesses and societies that infuse idealism, compassion and spirituality within their intra-structures, basic operations and public relations. This will naturally lead to increasing peace of mind, self-actualization. 

Human Beings have been imprisoned by fear and misunderstandings for thousands of years. Many people have become numb and disconnected from their creative energies and personal power. It is time to stop living in a functional coma and awaken to the power of Spirit within.
