Opportunities for Compassion 

The massive destruction and suffering caused by the recent tsunami is a call to all of Humanity to open our hearts to unconditional love, through compassion. We’ve been given a profound opportunity to recognize and respond to the Divine connection that we have with all beings, to step beyond our normal day-to-day responsibilities and to give assistance where needed.  We can accept this challenge by sending money to reputable organizations, or to individuals, who bring aid, healing services, food, supplies, shelter and comfort to those brothers and sisters who are in dire need. Also, we can pray from the depths of our hearts for a healing for everyone concerned.  In times of catastrophic events, we have opportunities for acting with compassion.

The Dahlia Lama said that we humans are essentially good. Wherever a disaster strikes, there are always those who respond with great courage and compassion for others. A catastrophe is as a call from the Universe for us to remember that our true nature is to love one another. When we are helping others from a place of true compassion, we feel joy, there is an increase of love in the world, and love returns to the giver multiplied many times. Remember that it is just as important to receive love as it is to give love. For in the receiving, you are allowing someone to give. This creates a Circle of giving and receiving…a win, win situation.

From a metaphysical perspective, the tsunami was a result of a profound call for love by the collective unconscious. There is a great transformation in process for all of Humanity. This is indicated astrologically by the planet Uranus transiting through the sign of Pisces (March 2003 through March 12, 2011) and the planet Pluto transiting the sign of Sagittarius (January 1995 through January 26, 2008). Pluto represents the Hand of God acting to heal, transform and regenerate those elements of life that are not perfectly aligned with the Divine Order. Sagittarius represents our philosophies, spiritual paths, religions, legal systems and political perspectives. Pluto transiting Sagittarius signifies a time when we are being purged of our greatest misunderstandings and fears about our relationship with God.  

Uranus transiting the sign of Pisces signifies a profound time in the evolution of the collective conscious of Humanity, when we will turn our awareness more inward, towards the mystical and unconscious parts of our beings. This is a time when all humans will develop increased sensitivity to the subtle energies of the etheric / spiritual realms. As this happens, every human being will have psychic / intuitive experiences that will show them that there is more to life than this third dimensional world can understand.  Pisces brings the ability for everyone to visualize other possible ways of being and, simultaneously, opens our consciousness to extra sensory perceptions. This includes an awakening to empathic, clairvoyant and other psychic abilities. As these intuitive perceptions develop in all beings, compassion for all of life will naturally increase. Eventually, the knowing of our oneness and compassion for all beings will develop in everyone.

Whatever we serve increases in our life and becomes us. As we serve love and compassion, we increase love and compassion in our world. Compassion is the key to awakening unconditional love, which awakens the Divine Feminine in our lives. The Divine Feminine energies will heal our souls and our Earth. When enough of us practice compassionate living, we will make this real for our world. Then, peace on earth will become more than just a vision…it will be our Reality.
