September 11, 2001: America's Shadow

Astrology indicates that we are entering “The Age Of Aquarius”, a 2100-year era of peace for Humanity. The Aztec, Mayan and Great Pyramid of Giza calendars also have prophesized that we are now in a major shift of collective consciousness. Yet, when we look at world affairs it appears otherwise. So, when will the new age of peace happen? When will things change?

Many people are making the choice for higher consciousness and are evolving very quickly. The majority of people, however, are stuck in their fears and are evolving slowly. This is because the human ego is afraid of change. It fears the unknown, so it holds on to old patterns of being. There has been and continues to be resistance in the world against a new, peaceful way of being.

September 11, 2001 was a profound and explosive wake-up call! Something big and dramatic had to happen to shock us out of our complacency and bring about change and evolution. The collective consciousness of Humanity created the horrific events of September 11th and the war that has followed.

A Cycle of War:

At the time of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center , Saturn was opposing Pluto. This is a powerful and profound celestial alignment of dynamic tension, conflict and war that came into effect in June 2001 and will continue through April 27, 2003. This is a cycle of conflict, war, transformation and evolution. Saturn represents our personal and collective principles, structures, fears, controls, limitations and karma. It was in the sign of Gemini, which represents concepts, attitudes and communications. Saturn opposing Pluto brings deep purging and transformation of Saturnian energies that are blocking our personal and collective evolution. It brings awareness of our unresolved shadow – i.e. fear-based emotional energies that have been repressed in our deep unconscious and are now becoming conscious. The problem is that our egos tend to project this awareness of shadow onto others, which leads to conflict and war.

What You Can Do:

It is good to take responsibility for what you see and emotionally feel in your world. Ask yourself, “What aspects of myself am I seeing reflected in my world?” and “Where am I being righteously indignant?” To resolve any conflict, it is necessary to see and acknowledge other points of view, even those you don’t agree with. This will ultimately empower you. If you are willing to feel and express your emotions, you can support the clearing and healing of your deep unconscious. If you ignore your feelings and/or project your fears onto others, you will miss opportunities to enhance your evolution. Remember that you are a part of the collective consciousness, and how you respond to what you see will affect the evolution of all. When you choose to live peace, you help create peace in this world.
